Does SARS-CoV-2 overwhelm Early DKD patients?
In diabetic kidney disease patients, there is a weaker immune system and poor metabolic function in the body. Hence the Strain 2 COVID deaths were increasing till the day with unknown symptoms. The major reason behind this is, the new strain SARS-CoV-2 uses the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) for entry into the host cells. Using Bayesian integrative Analysis, a large collection of public-omics datasets identifies the molecular network includes ACE2-expressing proximal tubular in diabetic kidney disease. If there is a positive angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) in diabetic kidney disease patients, it may overlap with the expression pattern seen in the SARS-CoV-2 infected cells and overwhelm the patient's condition. And the treatment for SARS-CoV-2 infected patients with chronic kidney diseases is still unclear.
The SARS-CoV-2 virus changes very slowly than the other
viruses. This virus transmission can occur through direct or indirect contact
with the infected people, through their saliva or respiratory droplets, which
are expelled when an infected person sneezes or talk. The virus SARS_CoV_2
firstly causes a respiratory illness ranging from mild disease to severe, and
finally, without any symptoms, it leads to death. According to the health
experts, it is advised to follow preventive measures, proper medication, immune
boosters, and diet for diabetic kidney disease patients to save their lives at
this worsen pandemic.
